Mafia 4 reddit1/22/2024 You had everyday relationships with these people.you knew them, they were your friends, in some way. that's the problem. If i wanted to play a hero like character, i'd go play max payne, or watch the punisher, but if i want to play a game about actions and consequences, I play Mafia, or watch movies like Goodfellas.Īnd then there's the painfully disconnected gameplay. You cant try to make a story based game, where you can chose who lives or dies of the so called side characters.Side characters is what made Mafia 1 and 2 amazing. You know Joe, Eddie Scarpa, Henry, and let's not forget Paulie and Sam, which even in the original were remarkable charcaters that everybody loved to hate, but they were there, as well as Ralph, Frank, and Vincenzo. In mafia3 you are the hero, in the other games you're not. Most of the times in those games you're the incompetent one who often gets reprimanded for his mistakes.Yes sure you can shoot and handle lots of enemies, but there's generally a dissonance between gameplay and cutscenes, because well you can decide to kill 40 civilians for fun, doesnt mean that Tommy kills civilians for fun, actually he doesnt enjoy killing, from what we see in cutscenes. This is not the sentiment of MAFIA games. You do not understand the point. It's all about how Lincoln is always there to save the day, he does this, does that, always the best.Everybody around you is an incompetent, and without you they're all doomed, but thank whatever they believe in, you're there!Which makes me to question how did everybody survive before you? Not that I wouldn't enjoy a more classic approach if they make a #4 don't get me wrong.Īlso I am not talking down to anyone about their beliefs, nor am I saying YOU SAID it was because of his color or anything - So please nobody twist and contort what I said - I am merely stating the fact that I CONSIDER it similar in a lot of ways to the previous games. I like the game and enjoyed it, I also feel like it deserves the Mafia name. Also the time period too, I understand its not set in the time of REAL MAFIA figures. I say it is definitely a Mafia game at its heart, and even pretty much on its surface. He then turns straight God father, and exacts Justice (aka revenge in his case) Really the only difference here is the color of Lincolns skin. Lincoln comes home, does what he is told, and gets fucked. However Vito fought in the war, it was part of the story of Mafia 2 was it not? So did Lincoln also was raised by Sammy was he not? Sammy was the boss of the (black) mafia, right? “The safety of our team, and that of customers, remains our number one priority,” she said in a statement.IDK So Lincoln Clays isn't the traditional white Italian MOB MEMBER.
Magicavoxel unity blender1/21/2024 At some point some edges must be duplicated or worse if you have a change in color. With some manual work you can roughly get the best of both worlds with a texture atlas by trying to merge as many of the seams as you can, but there’s only so much you can do. This has the benefit of not needing a UV seam on the corners and edges of geometry, assuming the voxel is a single color on all sides, but means a lot of additional geometry on flat faces. You’re saving vertex count on the flat faces if you have color changes at the cost of extra ones on the edge.Ī texture swatch is the opposite, just a list of colors in a texture. Texture atlases usually mean seams and doubled/tripled vertices on the hard edges. Generally vertex count wasn’t the issue we were running into, especially since we didn’t use any shadows, though we did have doubled vertex counts on all characters due to a shell outline, this was never the bottleneck.Īs for the solution to your problem, it’s just a matter of picking your poison. For some rare cases I hand unwrapped some objects. Auto-uv in other applications or hand UVing by the artists usually resulted in UVs that weren’t pixel edge prefect and resulted blurry textures, so I outright nixed that. The vertex count can continue to be a problem, but you may be able to keep the framerate playable.įor our project UV Mapping was usually left as the base output from Qubicle, seams and all. You might also consider using a reduced resolution on mobile devices rather than trying to significantly change the rendering. Breaking meshes up into smaller chunks (like 32x32x32 voxels) rather than an entire mesh may help with frustum culling. Shadows were all faked with simple blob shadows.īeyond that it depends on how much you can see on screen. For our project we baked the lighting into the meshes' texture atlases with an external application and they were rendered using an unlit shader. However the real answer may be using no shadows or baked lighting instead. You were already kind of thinking that way, but exporting a solid colored greedy mesh with welded vertices as an explicit shadowcaster mesh can do wonders here for reducing the vertex count. Step 3: Use different meshes for shadows. Using the MagicaVoxel style color swatch texture or vertex colors can end up being better here than using a texture atlas style. This also likely won't get you as much as you might hope as the vertices may have already been split by UVs when using a texture atlas. However this requires GLES 3.0 or better, so if you're targeting GLES 2.0 devices, you're out of luck. However you may be able to get rid of some extra vertices by not using hard edges in the mesh to do the flat shading. If you have a lot of very detailed geometry (like the gravel under those tracks) then you're paying the cost of the high polycount no matter what even with the above optimization. Step 2: The above can solve many of the polycount problems, but not all. This tool on the asset store appears to do something similar letting you directly import MagicaVoxel files: Qubicle outputs much cleaner meshes, and is what we used. MagicaVoxel for instance outputs just a color swatch texture and relatively high polygon meshes if you use a lot of color variation, and that can be brutal for vertex counts. Step 1: Use voxel tool that can output a greedy mesh and texture atlas, not just vertex colors or per-color indices. Having done a voxel based game for mobile VR not too long ago I went through a lot of this already. Google translate macos app1/21/2024 Since I’m going to be typing a Spanish phrase into the field for translation, I tap Spanish and the prompt changes to “Introducir texto”. Now the display shows a text field with buttons for the two languages, English and Spanish, at the bottom. On the screen, you’ll see a prompt to Enter text – tap it. If you need to change the language, tap on one of the two languages, and the list of available languages is displayed – tap one to go to a new language. Pull out your trusty iPhone, fire up Translate, and make sure that English and Spanish are listed on the top of the screen. Perhaps you’re in a restaurant in A Coruña, Spain and you want to know exactly what a dish named “Pulpo Gallego” is. When the download is completed, the download button turns to a green checkmark to indicate that Spanish is now loaded onto my iPhone. To download a language for offline use, tap the blue download button to the right of the listed language To download Spanish to my iPhone, I just tap the download button to the right of Spanish and transfer the necessary files. Doing so displays a “Languages” screen showing recently-used languages, all languages available, and available offline languages. This is done by launching the app, then tapping one of the two languages listed at the top of the screen. I can download offline languages so that all of the translation is done on my iPhone – no internet connection or expensive roaming plan required. For example, let’s say I’m going on a European trip and will be visiting France, Germany, Italy, and Spain. Translate can work with or without an Internet connection, but for the best usability, it’s best to download a language before you travel. Does the Translate app require an Internet connection? In this first iteration of the Translate app, the following languages are supported: English (US & UK), Spanish (Spain), Chinese (Mandarin, Simplified), Japanese, Korean, Russian, German (Germany), French (France), Italian (Italy), Portuguese (Brazil), and Arabic. What languages does the Translate app support? It’s called the Translate app, and it is part of the powerful feature set of iOS 14. Seemingly lost in all of the excitement about widgets, the app library, and new Memoji hairstyles in iOS 14 was the fact that the update provides the next best thing to a Star Trek Universal Translator. Numbers in Spanish 1 - 100 Spanish numbers 0 - 9 Here in this article, we will show you how to say numbers in Spanish, how to count to 10, how to count to 100, and when to use cardinal numbers. Their construction still follows some rules which allow you to learn them easily. And just like in English, there are still some exceptions in the way to form numbers. Spanish numbers from 1 to 1000 are not too difficult to learn. We hope you enjoy learning the numbers in Spanish, and don't forget to send us your comments and suggestions. Our trusty pattern can then be utilized to figure out any other number in between: cuarenta y uno (41), sesenta y dos (62), ochenta y ocho (88), noventa y cuatro (94), etc. All that are left to memorize are th e numbers corresponding to las decenas (the multiples of ten), in other words: veinte (20), treinta (30), cuarenta (40), cincuenta (50), sesenta (60), setenta (70), ochenta (80), noventa (90), and cien (100). The good news is that, after treinta (30), the previous spelling returns, and you can once again use the basic pattern: thirty-one is "t reinta y uno, " forty-eight is "cuarenta y ocho, " etc. Voilá! The number sixteen is therefore spelled dieciséis while twenty-four is veinticuatro. The pattern is that, while the numbers sixteen through nineteen employ the prefix dieci (rather than diez y) followed by six through nine, the digits twenty-one through twenty-nine use " veinti " (not " veinte y ") plus the numbers one through nine. " Right? Well, almost!Ī little trick will help you to learn to spell the names of the numbers sixteen through nineteen as well as twenty-one through twenty-nine correctly. Although those numbers were previously spelled as two words, their modern spellings are now preferred: Sixteen is written " dieciséis, " nineteen is " diecinueve, " twenty-nine is " veintinueve, " and so on. " Similarly, if twenty is veinte and four is cuatro, then twenty-four must be " veinte y cuatro. For example, if ten is diez, and six is seis, then sixteen will be " diez y seis. You will then notice that there is a basic pattern to form the following digits: simply take diez (10) or veinte (20) and follow them with y plus the corresponding single digit to form your desired number. The numbers from eleven through twenty-nine also require some memorization, specifically those from eleven through fifteen, which are as follows: once (11), doce (12), trec e (13), catorc e (14), and quince (15). We suggest that you practice them by saying them out loud a number of times. These you do need to memorize, and the numbers from one to ten are as follows: uno (1), dos (2), tres (3), cuatro (4), cinco (5), seis (6), siete (7), ocho (8), nueve (9), and diez (10). While you will see that it isn't really necessary to memorize every digit from one to one hundred, we'll give you a couple of tips to keep in mind. Learning the numbers from one to one hundred in Spanish is a very straightforward task. In fact, our friends at El Aula Azul created a very useful video to aid us with the basics. San giorgio maggiore at dusk drawing1/21/2024 One of the important techniques of Claude Monet was a perspective without depth with plans that were influenced by his study of Japanese records, popular among French artists. The artist himself notes that this picture is different from others in that the idea was so beautiful that it worked in a frenzy, following the sun and its reflections in the water. They stand out: the water and the cathedral of Venice. It is characterized by orange tones, with which the artist perceived the decline of the Italian city. It is possible to visit part of this monastery with a guided tour along the Borgus Labyrinth or along the ten Vatican chapels. This is one of the most representative paintings of the painter. It now houses a historical library and is also a venue for exhibitions, concerts and meetings. The Giorgio Cini Foundation is located in the adjacent monastery. It is not a large lighthouse, but nevertheless a striking presence at the beginning of the San Giorgio Maggiore marina. The lighthouse is also a favorite spot for many tourists. Those who like to watch sailing boats can contact the Compagnia della Vela to see if the sailing club is taking lessons with a group. Other points of interest on the small island include the open-air theater Teatro Verde, the auditorium Los Squero and the marina. What else to see at San Giorgio Maggiore?

Maxel slow pitch reel1/21/2024 The company’s Frank Cheung, told Angling International: “In 2021 we launched the small size level wind Armory 15 and it received acclaim among anglers who enjoy slow and ultra-light jigging with thin PE lines. It is adding the Armory 25 and Armory 35 to its portfolio – two larger sizes in its high-end series of round profile lever wind reels. For more info, visit your local tackle retailer and see one for yourself.Chinese reel manufacturer Maxel, which now has distribution in over 40 countries across the world, is introducing two new models for 2022. The new Maxel Rage reels are the real deal and deserve a closer look if you are into high-end jigging outfits. I have a few of these in my coastal arsenal, and they work as advertised. Nick Cicero, Bimini Bay’s sales manager, reminded me that the new Rage reels provide maximum utility when paired with Maxel’s Platinum slow pitch jigging rods. The extra-long offset aluminum handle features five rectangular cutouts along its length to save weight and a round neoprene ball that is always in the right position when your hand is looking for some traction to get the cranking process started. In contrast, the larger 60H features a 5.3:1 ratio and the Rage 90N and 90 both offer a 4.0:1 gearing. The gear ratio of the Rage 25H is 6.2:1 and it will retrieve 38.5 inches of line for every turn of the crank handle, which will really make a jig dance through the water column if speed jigging is on the menu. Rigged with a matching slow pitch rod, it would make a perfect tool to practice the latest “snap jigging” techniques for mid-depth pursuit of coastal gamefish. This translates to 11.25 pounds of drag at strike and 17 pounds of stopping power at full, which is plenty when you consider that this diminutive reel is designed to hold either 440 yards of 20-pound or 350 yards of 30-pound superbraid. The quadrant’s generous adjustment range allows for a gradual ramping up of drag power, which includes a “Strike” indent about two-thirds of the way to the “Full” setting. The drag is silky smooth with a click lever that stays in place. Other high-end components on the Rage reels include a dual drag design, nine stainless steel bearings, a drop gear box and a removable reel foot for easy cleaning or replacement. A cold-forged aluminum sideplate on the crank handle side of the Rage, along with tempered stainless steel gears, add to its overall bullet-proof design. Maxel accomplishes this shedding of unnecessary weight by starting off with a billet of aluminum that is CNC machined with various spaces, gaps and geometric holes in its frame and side to save a few precious ounces, but not sacrifice the metal’s inherent stiffness and strength. At only 14 ounces, it’s easy to hold in your hands all day long with a minimum of fatigue. Right from the get-go, even an untrained eye will realize that this is no ordinary downsized jigging reel, but a high-end piece of well-constructed machinery. My sample featured a black body with a gold spool and trim, and had striking good looks. I requested the micro-sized 25H model in whatever color was available from their kaleidoscope of options and it showed up a few weeks ago. Its predecessors had brought a lot of stripers, deepwater sea bass and tog, summer flounder, cod, pollock and football tuna to boatside for me and my charter customers and I was well aware of the positives and the occasional negatives of the Maxel product line. I currently use the Hybrid star drag and the Ocean Max lever drag reels, so I was anxious to get my hands on a sample of the newest Rage to see how it measured up to its siblings. The Rage jigging reel models represent the top of the line for Maxel. The heavier Maxel Rage 60H, 90N and 90 are meant to handle larger near offshore and deepwater gamefish, but are still relatively light weight with run-stopping drag capability. The smaller 25H right and left hand models are a huge hit with the “slow pitch” jigging crowd looking for a powerful micro-sized outfit. These reels grabbed a lot of attention for their smooth gears and drags, combined with a tough as nails construction and do-it-all attitude. Introduced last summer at the 2018 ICAST tackle show, Bimini Bay Outfitters made a big splash with the USA debut of their proven high-end Maxel Rage lever drag reels. They specialize in manufacturing quality reels for big game trolling and deep water jigging fishermen who take their sport very seriously and insist on the finest quality at reasonable costs. Their experience as sub-contractors producing aluminum parts for some of the biggest names in the fishing business has honed their manufacturing skills and expertise. Just in case you didn’t know, Maxel Fishing Tackle has been manufacturing high quality big game trolling and deep water jigging reels since 2003. AuthorWrite something about yourself.
